Dear Mr. B.,
There are quite a few Americans who are of the opinion that most Brits disapprove of us on the whole. Nevertheless, I'm not sure whether that is really and truly the case, or if we Americans have simply developed some sort of complex over the years. So I'd like to ask you, is it true that many Brits dislike us Yanks all that much personally, or are a lot of blokes just not through being mad about Johnny Cash?

No, no, we love Americans. Everybody loves Americans. I always hoped that The Doctor (me!) would do a six part story set in America.
I remember Buffalo Bill Cody, I think. Yes, he used to ride a water smooth silver stallion and shoot one, two, three four pigeons! Just like that! He was a handsome man too. Hold on, Becky, I think I might be mistaken. YES, I am mistaken. I was lost in a poem by the American poet E.E. Cummins. The power of poetry, Becky. Beware of poetry. Have you ever wondered about the people who disappear never to be heard of again? Where did they go? Poetry, that's where they went. This is just between you and me, Becky and I suppose it is possible I might be mistaken. On the other hand....
