As I am sure many of you are aware we've lost the original and best Romana this morning to cancer, aged just 62. Condolences to friends and family, and of course to Tom...

Very sad. Mary was in the show after I stopped watching it but I saw some of her stories in later years on DVD and liked her a lot.

62 is far, far too young. RIP.

Very sad news indeed, an awful shock this morning.

Mary Tamm will be sorely missed. She appeared with Tom in recent years at conventions.

Very sorry you've lost a friend, Tom. My thoughts are with Mary's family and friends. :(

God rest Mary's soul. Cancer is such a horrible disease. :(

I've had many loved ones die of it.

RIP Mary.

This is awful news! Another of Tom's companions gone, following LIz Sladen and Nick Courtney.Mary Tamm's Romana was a fantastic companion and a truly elegant lady. I shall watch The Ribos Operation tonight in tribute. RIP Mary.
