Start new topic to post your question. One question allowed per member per month. Ask one concise question per post, and please refrain from including information and comments irrelevant to your question.
These questions are for Tom to answer, so please do not be tempted to post a reply to someone else’s question. If you want to make a comment, post it in the Fan Community → About Tom’s Newsletters and Answers to Questions subforum.
Please do your research before asking a question and try not to ask questions which Tom has answered before – either here or in interviews such as the Doctor Who Magazine articles available on this website in the Doctor Who section. If your question is factual, please try googling it first to see if you can find the answer.
Questions about whether Tom will appear at a convention or in a particular programme or film are wasted questions as he cannot talk about any offers in advance, and the moment agreement is reached, he announces the news on his website.
Tom will answer a MAXIMUM OF 15 QUESTIONS PER MONTH.
I read that awhile back your voice was used for BT's text to voice system. I was wondering if you would ever use your voice if asked for an automobile GPS navigator like a TomTom or other such device. My wife and I would love to hear your voice giving us driving directions and maybe if they would allow it to also tell some of your wonderfully amusing stories to pass the hours away on a lon, boring drive. You were always THE best Doctor to me Tom. Thanks for being so great!

I believe there are some funny styles on SatNavs. But personally, I prefer ordinary, non quirky voices because I'm not a good driver and am easily distracted.
As for using my voice, I have the world's worse sense of direction, so I can just imagine people getting lost all over the country because somehow they didn't quite believe my directions.
As for stories on route, that's a good idea. And the stories need not be entirely true! Maybe someone will come up with a series of tall tales from Tom?
