50th Celebrations

What do you think they will do to celebrate the 50th anniversary?

Ideally, what would you like them to do...if anything were possible?

A Doctor team up story!

I'd like to have the three New Doctors meet and deal with some menace, with as many surviving Doctors as they can drag in front of a camera doing cameo's and supporting roles.

Heck, bring back Omega as the bad guy!

It'd be nice if they could include a bunch of companions as well, but if that's getting too crowded, I'll settle for K-9.

I don't wish for Tom to participate unless he has a huge role. A one-off special or movie with Tom back in the lead as the Doctor would be a dream come true. That's likely not to happen though.

I do hope, whatever they do, that they include some kind of tribute to Liz Sladden.
Maybe something Sarah Jane did sets the whole adventure off.

She was such a big part of both the old/new series.

I am sure with the right creativity and the right writer to wield it, an anniversary story could both satisfy and delight fans of both the old and new series. WE have a year and some change before the anniversary happens, so let's hope the powers that be are busy working on it.

They need someone like dear old Terrance Dicks to write it, Graeme Harper to Direct, and above all all of the Doctors to be in it for it to work....
The Doctor: I tell you, Brigadier, there's nothing to worry about! The brontosarus is large and placid!
Harry Sullivan: (to the Brigadier) This the patient, sir?
The Doctor: (looking up at Harry) And stupid!

Apparently the Moff is planning several things to celebrate the anniversary instead of just one special. So the idea of TB coming back to the role in a single onscreen adventure just gets more and more tantalising. He is the only past Doctor I am really interested in seeing reprise his role as the 4th Doctor. :P

I see that Diana Rigg is going to feature; not sure whether it'll be for the celebrations or not though. She's terrific, and a coup for Who. I so wish she were playing alongside Tom. I haven't watched the new series for a long time, but I'll watch that one.
