Liverpool after the Monastry?

Postby BobF on April 3rd, 2012, 1:41 pm

Hi Tom,
May I ask you about the time you spent in Liverpool after you left your monastic order? I took from your autobiography that it wasn't a long period before you moved to London and awaited national service. I am interested in this period of your life and wondered how you passed your time. Pubs, clubs and any jobs? I believe the 'infamous' Locarno Grafton was near to your mum's new home. Did it ever tempt you within it's dark doors?!!!
I know this was a difficult time for you as you coped with a major life change.

It was long ago but thanks for any anecdotes you may recall.
