Shame that when they were doing a lot of Who novels, during the wilderness years, that we never got a spin off UNIT series.
I think they did one book featuring UNIT saving the earth without the Doctor and that was it.

Big Finish tried a UNIT series, but aside from a couple episodes where the Brig guest starred it was only okay.

I love that moment in "Downtime" when the Brig thinks the tramp character played by Geoffrey Beevers is the Doctor regenerated.

I wish I could have the video but being american and unable to change my player, it looks like the only available video is a PAL which is useless to me.

You should ask around in the fan forums at Dr Who Online or similar sites. I bet someone somewhere has copied it on to dvd.

As long as it's a Region 1 I'm in business. I don't have the technicl know-how to convert a player to all regions.

Just finished watching season 6.2 and really liked that they included a small tribute to the Brig.

Shame they never had a chance for Nick to work with any of the new Doctors, but I thought the moment had a nice heartfelt bittersweet quality to it.

As big a fan boy as I am and love seeing old monsters and whatnot, both new Who and SJA have both had some great, quiet moments aknowledging the shows history.

Have you seen the SJA episodes "Death of the Doctor" with Matt Smith and Katy Manning? Lots of fast paced action and some nice moments ackonwledging the original series' history.I recommend them as there are some lovely moments of flashbacks (via old series clips) tying the classic and modern eras together. :)

That is a great episode. Loved seeing Jo Grant and Sarah swapping stories and the bit at the end, taking about other companions.

That and Matt Smith and Clive made a nice duo.
With SJAs off the air and Matt Smith's Doctor needing a new companion, my kids think it should be Clive.

I'm still hoping for K-9 myself.
