this was very enjoyable, even though some of the local topics went over this 'merican fan's head.

but don't feel too sorry for me ... most of the local news HERE does the same thing!

The reason that the show works so well is with some of the spontaneity, from the panels and from the presenter, which is why Tom (and people like Brian Blessed, Bruce Forsyth, Alexander Armstrong, etc) do so well when presenting it. Paul Merton can sometimes try to take over it because he's naturally very funny but some quips from Ian Hislop and also from the guests and presenter make it a fantastic show and one of the few I make time for.

They should do a Dr Who version....."Have I Got Who For You"
