Dear Tom,
If your name had already been taken by another actor with Equity, what pseudonym would you have chosen? A lifetime of end credits and autographs would be vastly different! I wonder what nom de plume you might adopt as an author?

I only called myself Tom Baker as a second choice. I wanted to be known as Jake Bromberg and I practised my autograph, "Cordially yours, Jake Bromberg", but then I discovered that name was already taken so I settled for Tom Baker.
Not much of a story, is it? If ever I write a book I shall use the name Dolly Gray, and the book will be called "Blame me on History" and it will be very sad.
