My dad came home from the army at nineteen to find his mother and sister were renting one. He was doing his National Service at the same time as you, I’m sure.

Dear Philip,

I must have seen some TV in the early days but I can't remember. Now I find it so nagging I truly only watch the rugby. I do go to bed very early. I also enjoy ironing my shirts.

I'm very happy at home. Also I have a dog who begs me to go down to the woods three times a day. So why would I watch telly.

Good bye, Philip
