Looking back on my life I have realised that through certain pieces of drama that sneaked in themes of questioning faith, I was able to throw off my catholic upbringing when I was a teenager, to achieve my current secular, materialist view. I have to thank people like Douglas Adams and Rob Grant/Doug Naylor and the Pythons for this. But as well as them I have to credit yourself. For as the strange priest in 'The Life and Loves of a She Devil' I realised that priests
were strange and therefore their authority highly dubious.
Through that you helped to set me free and I am very grateful.
I am currently about to send a letter to my Bishop to get myself excommunicated. In my fun act of heresy I have to give my reasons for apostasy, otherwise they don't take it seriously. As someone who claimed me away, I would however like to shove in a P.S. at the end with a fun message from you on my behalf. What would you say to them?
