Dear Tom,
One of my favourite comedians is John Cleese, I was wondering what your memories are of him from the City of Death & did you watch Fawlty Towers when it was originally shown on the t.v?

Best Wishes

Dear Matt,

Basil Fawltey was a wonderful creation. I spoke to John at the BBC and to Eleanor Bron who is a lovely actress. But John was always the centre of attention and everybody wanted to talk to him so I never got a look in.
