Knowing your past affinity for the happening Soho district of London, I was wondering if at any point during your (relative) youth in the 1960's if you were able to catch one of the future rock and roll greats (say, Jimi Hendrix) performing in one of the clubs, pubs, or bars you frequented. Or conversely, did you avoid "those" type of establishments in favor of the quieter drinking-only ones?
In those hectic days I frequented very noisy places often in the company of journalists and painters and very often opera singers in a club called The Kismet. It is possible that I am the only person left alive from those days. I used to bring my own oxygen.
