The Gorgon

I recently saw the 1964 Hammer Horror movie The Gorgon.

Starring Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee and Barbara Shelley it is quite a spooky film but what I found more interesting is with the cast. The cast included two Doctor Whos Cushing and Patrick Troughton and it was a time before either man first played the Doctor.
There is even a couple of scenes in which Cushing and Troughton are seen together in this film.

Later a Gorgon would briefly appeared in one of Troughton’s Doctor Who stories that of the Medusa in The Mind Robber (1968).
Much later on the Gorgon would become the main subject of another Whoniverse story that of The Sarah Jane Adventures story Eye of the Gorgon (2007).
