I'd like to hear your general opinion of the genre/style termed 'theatre of the absurd'.
I've become rather interested in it recently, but I've always thought life is the most absurd theatre of all.
"A man's work is nothing but this slow trek to rediscover, through the detours of art, those two or three great and simple images in whose presence his heart first opened."

I think all theatre is absurd, especially tragedy. But then I find life absurd and wouldn't want it any other way. When I played Macbeth the audiences screeched with laughter during my scenes. When I heard that Burnham Wood was coming to Dunsinane, my double take got a standing ovation from the front row and we played to packed houses from then on.
It was not long after that the BBC offered me Doctor Who, the most absurd part ever.
