Late Night Story read by Tom

Postby Theta Sigma on November 8th, 2009, 7:51 pm

Hi,
First of all I am new here and I thought I start off with this thread.

Late Night Story is included in The Armageddon Factor special features disc and it was a BBC2 series originally broadcast in 1978 in which Tom Baker reads short stories for its first season. (The second season of stories is not included in The Armageddon disc because it was not read by Tom as he was replaced by John Mills).

The Photograph:
First story.
Written by Quatermass creator Nigel Kneale.
This story has a boy who has a photograph taken of him resulting in something very spooky occurring afterwards.
A very chilling story.

The Emissary:
Second story.
Written by Ray Bradbury.
The emissary of the title refers to the dog owned by a boy called Martin who brings visitors to him.
The story is especially very good with Tom's expressions on his face in accordance to Martin's reactions in the story.
The ending is very very scary.

Now, I definately would buy that! At present, just have bits and pieces (clips/pics) of "The Book Tower," gathered from around the Web; including some very nice comments from people's recollections on their blogs. But an actual video of a real life episode would be nothing less than tub thumpin' grand! And ditto, too for all of TOM's "Medics," episodes. :)

Thanks pattie anne and you are welcome.

Nursery Tea:
Third story.
Written by Mary Danby.
Two adult siblings tries to get revenge on their former nanny by inviting her to the said tea but things goes wrong.
This story is only mildly scary.
