Hello, all. I had no idea until today that Tom's website had changed, or perhaps he'd got a brand new one as I hadn't checked in a while. A sad day to find out, but I figured there's no time like the present to join the community.

Anyway, quick introduction: A U.S. fan here, hope that doesn't create a language barrier. ;) I first saw "Doctor Who" with Tom Baker in the role when I was a kid. Watched all the way through to McCoy's end before finding out about Tom's predecessors. Since then I've bought his autobiography and audios, and hope to see him in person some day if he ever comes Stateside for a visit or I'm lucky enough to travel to the UK.

I suppose that's my status as a fan in a nutshell. Not very exciting, eh?

Anyway, I look forward to chatting with you all and learning more.

Cheers,
Farrar

Hello, Farrar! :D

Nice to meet another fan and admirer of the Great Tom. I am also american and can attest there is no need to worry about any language barriers. ;)

Everyone here speaks where they're readily understood, and are so attentive. I hope you will enjoy your experience here, and take advantage of what this site and forum have to offer. :)

Hello everyone,

I'm Cynthia and I have been a fan of Dr. Who since the early 80's when I would stay up late Sunday nights to watch the exploits of my favorite Dr, Tom Baker. In St. Louis it showed at 10:30 pm at night and would be the second to last broadcast of the day. (Jack Horkeimer's Star Hustler finishing the broadcast day.)

I would answer phones for pledges during the Dr. Who portion of the drives and have many wonderful memoriabilia, including a tin Tardis with our favorite fourth Doctor standing in the doorway and a white heat activated tardis mug.

I am ecstatic to have found Tom with his own website, I only wish I had found it sooner as it has taken me a while to read everythign and catch up. It's been a pleasure to connect to so many diverse fans of the show and read all your posts, I look forward to chatting with you all.

My warm smile is shining,
Cynthia

Yes welcome,

I agree that the upper west coast is beautiful ! My hubby and I visited the Olympic peninsula a couple of years ago and loved it ! :) I love the sea stacks and gigantic trees. And the cool round rocks.

Blimey, been a while since I was last on here, my Tardis is bigger than I realised :D
"Aaaaaaarrrrrggggghhhhhhh....me laddie!"

"You damned courtiers to the Queen, you're nothing but lap dogs to a slip of a girl!"

Hope to meet a nautical cove or two online to chat about Tom, "Who", etc :-)
