Someone left a message on Twitter saying 'Very sad news about Nicholas Courtney', so I googled his name and found out from his website that he is now unfortunately dead. If anyone wishes to leave a message of condolence to his family or friends here feel free to do so.
“Oh yeah, you really got me now, you've got me so I don't know what I'm doing"
Terribly sad news. Nick Courtney was an icon of Doctor Who, easily one of it's most memorable characters and probably the longest serving having worked on it on and off for over 20 years as well as appearing in numerable spin off productions, audio, video etc and last appearing in an episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures in 2008. His contribution to Doctor Who cannot be overstated enough. I'm sure Tom will be very saddened. I will be watching one of Nick's stories as the Brigadier in tribute tonight (probably Inferno). RIP Nick.
I am very sad to come online this morning and discover this news. I remember watching Nick as the Brig in countless Dr. Who episodes during the 1980s via PBS marathons. I am sure his family and friends which he has left behind are in mourning and we should send our well wishes their way. Rest in peace, Nick. You had an incredible run.
