Dear Forum Posters -

Just to let you all know, Pattie Anne's mid-west is under a winter blizzard warning. She told me earlier that where they have lived, for over fourty years now, they have never had a winter blizzard warning before. She didn't even know there was such a thing. Anyway, eleven mid-western US states are being affected by these two storms that have moved into her area, so please remember her, and our other forum posters who live in this area of her country. Oh yes, and remember her husband's chickens too. Frozen drumsticks, I should say so.

Best,
Dirk :ugeek:

We just heard that all flights to Chicago have been canceled. A work mate of mine was supposed to go there tomorrow but the trip is off.
pattie anne, keep warm and snugly. You and all those near you, and everyone else on the East coast.

p.s. I think it is over 18C and a high 14% humidity here today in Phoenix!

dear members of TOM -

thank you all for your good wishes and messages. we personally were very lucky in mcdonald county. six to nine inches. even as close as joplin, mo (about 30 miles away) they had twice as much fall from the sky. I-44 the major highway which runs across this part of the country, is closed between joplin and springfield mo. they closed it down at midnight last night. and according to the latest predictions ... tonight and TOMorrow night we go into the deep freeze -3 to 0 degrees fahrenheit when the sun does down.

glad we don't have sheep. would be hard pressed to find them at the moment. :?

chickens very happy with their new electric heater, however. :P

love,
pattie anne :geek:

Glad you are safe, PA. We seemed to have dodged it although the wind has picked up.
