Dear Tom,
I suppose one question I have would be about the role of Puddleglum. In retrospect, what was your initial vision for the character upon being asked to play the part? Did that vision change significantly over the course of filming, for example, and leave you pleasantly surprised by later development.

Dear John,
I remember the make-up and costume for Puddleglum were quite elaborate but I can't remember anything about preparing the character. I have never seen the film but it gets repeated quite often.
