If possible, stay warm and dry, knowing this place is well looked after. [At least to the best of Dirk's questionable abilities and talents.]

Kind, kind messages. Thank you one and all!

Sue and I are snug and warm. Christmas fare in the larder and logs in the grate. Bella’s kittens running around carrying Christmas decorations everywhere and breaking into presents. Poppy waiting for us to turn our backs so she can snaffle the ham – we never turn our backs! Outside, in the snow and ice, the deer have nearly plucked up courage to knock on the door, but instead are making do with all the special shrubs around the house.

Happy Christmas to you all! Sue and I hope you have a happy time! We will raise a glass to you all tomorrow at the Christmas dinner table.
