Tom at The Stamp Centre on Sept.23rd

Postby WhoGabe on August 28th, 2010, 10:59 am

I jump in after a lot of lurking in the backstage of this forum to wish good luck to anyone who will be able to shake Tom's hand next September.
I wish I'd be with you guys, offering a bottle of good Italian wine to Tom on behalf of all his Italian fans! ;)

For fans like me living abroad it's really disheartening to know of such events so little in advance. I live in Italy, as it's difficult for me to leave home on a working day, let alone booking cheap flights and B&B in order to get there in time without spending my last penny!
And I can only imagine how much more difficult it is for someone who lives in the US or farther!

I can fully understand Tom's fears (as he stated in the Question Room): "just the thought of flying anywhere from any airport fills me with dread. Travel is now a nightmare", so I know Tom will never come to Italy anymore.
But for this reason I wish we could have a bit more time to arrange trips and come to UK to meet Tom!
BIG SIGH :(

So, guys... enjoy! Enjoy Tom's presence even for us, unlucky fans who cannot be there!
Here here to Tom, always! :)

Well, we will just make Tracy our "honorary" ambassador and she will just have to give hugs to Tom from us. ;)

Jaybee can do the honors for us this month, if she would be so kind to do so.

Then, Tracy can return to her duties next time. :D

Tom signing 23rd september

Postby rotellaro on September 7th, 2010, 4:01 pm

I admit it, when I booked flights and homestay I didn't know that Tom would be at stamp center signing.

I discovered later that my little trip in London is contemporary with Tom signing :D

So now In my baggage I added my scarf, my sonic and a little gift my girlfriend made for Tom :D

I'm wondering if There would be anyone the forum.
This can be a good occasion to meet.

Ciao
Federico

Hi WhoGabe, I will take the greetings from Italy for you.

I booked flights and homestay in London for a short trip, then I discovered how lucky I was :D

I hope there will be others from the forum so I can meet you IRL.

Kind Regards
Ciao

Great Federico! Thank you!
Be sure to tell him how many of us in Italy consider him "the Doctor" (il primo Dottore non si scorda mai! ;) ) and... if you can... hug him for me! :P

That's exaclty what I meant in my initial post: you have to already have a holiday planned in order to get to these events...

Have a nice holiday, Federico! Enjoy everything... including Tom! :)
