Looks like the 'olde boy' did quite well on that particular list. And so glad to see my FAVE "The Deadly Assassin," made the TOP 20. :P Yes, I know, I know, just bairly. But you only have to be CLOSE in horseshoes and grenades, AND Dr Who. Still, ta, for the sharing of The List.

Heh, heh. I'd never heard that expression before, Pattie, I rather like it! I must use it in a conversation at some point today.

Still, I'm sorry to see so many of my favourites so far down the list :( , but I guess they can't all be at the top.

053. Logopolis.
067. The Stones of Blood.
070. The Keeper of Traken.

My top 3 Tom stories all together on the above list but 27 places difference on the full list, I'm amazed these three aren't any higher. The one I'm not a big fan of ("Warriors Gate") is higher than I thought it would be....so it's swings and roundabouts :D
"Aaaaaaarrrrrggggghhhhhhh....me laddie!"

"You damned courtiers to the Queen, you're nothing but lap dogs to a slip of a girl!"

Hope to meet a nautical cove or two online to chat about Tom, "Who", etc :-)

Season eighteen. A lot of fans just do not like season eighteen.

Some people cite the changes JNT made (including Tom  ), and some people just couldn't get on with Chris Bidmead's vision for the show.

Admittedly, it's also my least favourite season.

Of course when I say 27 I meant 17, so much for being a part-time maths tutor, good job it's not full time   It's just that story with me, I don't mind the rest in that season at all, you do get an occasional story that just don't get on with, just one of those things. There are still some good performances in it though :D

Warriors Gate is a little sureal at times, but I love the imagery; Daryl Joyce did a fantastic job with the direction, it's a shame he was never invited back to do another.

The story feels strange to me, it's so utterley different to anything that went before it, and for me it holds a strange sense of finality, if you know what I mean.

I wasn't at all satisfied with Romana's exit though, far too rushed, I gather Lalla felt the same.

I don't think Genesis is Tom's best ever story, I find it a bit overrated. I agree that Underword is his worst, it's one of the few Dr Who stories that bores me. My own top ten would be: 1. City of Death 2. The Ark in Space 3. The Robots of Death 4. The Seeds of Doom 5. Pyramids of Mars 6. The Pirate Planet 7. The Keeper of Traken 8. Horror of Fang Rock 9. Logopolis 10. The Ribos Operation.
