A Tom Baker ... D-R-E-A-M ...

Now before everyone goes off the deep end here ... What I am talking about is a Role or Part you would have liked to see Our Mister TOM in:

"For instance, Pattie Anne?"

Glad y'all asked.

I always D-R-E-A-M-E-D ...

TOM would have been perfect in the original Star Trek's

"The Alternative Factor"

as both Lazarus'es. What a terrific range of emotions role. Perfect venue for HIS multi-talents.

And while we are in the Star Trek universe ... would have made a

"Very interesting,"
SPOCK

'Q' in the "Next Generation," stories.

So, how about the rest of you? :geek:

"Shaken not stirred."

Well, I've always thought he would make a fabulous Mad-hatter and am still waiting for him to read the " Alice in Wonderland" books....

There was a little independent film called "Death in Brunswick" and Tom would have been perfect in the lead role as the wide-eyed,timid, slightly naive yet naughty Carl that takes a job as a cook in a nightclub. He falls instantly in love with the club owners pretty , young girlfriend and stumbles from one disaster to the next , committing involuntary manslaughter, desecrating graves and being chased by a gangs of drug dealing Iranians and irritated Greeks.they all want to kill poor Carl and he really has no clue how he became the center of everyones attention. It's an interesting black humour role of a life-long victim of being bullied into submission taking an unusual ( but unwanted ) course to find his own self-worth and backbone. Carl's quietly boiling rage that first results in his rebellious act of sprinkling a dash of rat turds all over the pizza he is ordered to make for his boss and cronies...for some strange reason that makes me think of Tom.
Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?

Indiana Jones For sure!!! And I would have loved him to have been in the Goodies!!! Cmon who wouldn't have loved that! Was an awsome show as it was but + Tom...... GOLD!

I would have liked to have seen him in Faulty Towers as a disgruntled guest lol

I am not sure about star trek, I liked Spoc and that was it the show was too stiff.

One other Sci fi space show though I love is Lexx... it's a bit rude but funny. Not sure Tom would have worked in it though.

I would like to see him in The Vicar of Dibbly... hitting on the Vicar now that would be funny.

As soon as I hit post message I will think of more lol.

I think he could make a great Hogwarts teacher/wizard in Harry Potter.

He could also have thrived as a regular in the Mr Bean episodes - even without those dulcit tones, his eyes would have been so expressive as he watched Bean clown about. :D

Like the Fawlty Towers and Vicar of Dibley suggestions. Tom in a dog-collar, now that thought makes me chuckle!
I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. Douglas Adams.

Great stuff folks, thanks for joining in my round table discussion.

And if "The Librarian" movies ever actually made it to the TV screens in a series, sure would love to add TOM to the cast of regulars. Something about TWO ancient of days librarians playing off each other would be absolutely marvelous and hilarious.

And of course, in HIS younger 'moore' athletic days, can invision HIM in the actual librarian role.

Or is it all just a Tom Baker ... D-R-E-A-M ?

Love,
pattie anne :geek:

I think he would have been a super Dumbledore.

But if I could have one more wish, I would love to see him play the Master.
