Even though William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton and Jon Pertwee are deceased they still get represented here. The companions here including the Big Finish-created Charley are all who travelled with their respective Doctors when the actor concerned had been the current Doctor. Quite curious that the companions created by Big Finish for Past Doctors like Evelyn and Lucie are completely absent. The villain here is that of the Geoffrey Beevers Masters. It is a rather enjoyable story and while all the surviving Doctors in this story do appear together here I particularly like the interaction between Tom Baker and Paul McGann. The significant date for this story is November 23 1963 (wonder why) and quite amusing when one of the Doctors said there was nothing special about that date. The unwitting pawn that the Master used for his dastardly plot was Bob Dovie and was very amusing Bob Dovie’s last scene which finishes the story.
Ordered mine online and ended up somehow with 2 copies, but have since listened to the story, and was gobsmacked. Tom gets to do his thing with Louise as the companion and the return of the Master was written brilliantly, as were the various Doctors' reaction to him. Was one heck of an anniversary story and is now a personal favorite. I like it even more than The Five Doctors.
