Me and tom, timey-wimey

Postby TimeLord on January 10th, 2014, 1:09 pm

Here's a pic of Tom and I - 35 years ago when I was 7, it was at Martin's newsagents in the Arndale Centre (Dartford) he was signing Target novels. My mum knitted me the scarf and my nan got me the jacket and hat from a jumble sale.

I took my son (aged 7) to the ExCel centre last November for the Doctor Who Celebration and we met Tom and got this pic - my mum knitted his scarf too! Tom was great and Sam was so excited to meet him.

Hope to meet a nautical cove or two online to chat about Tom, "Who", etc :-)

Haha, nice bit of word-play there, captain!

We had a great time at the 50th celebration and Tom was on top form as always.

To misquote The Brigadier, "Lucky kids, both of them". I've met him twice at that Stamp Centre, on the Strand that he likes so much. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to the lovely pubs to talk of thespian tales over a pint of ale.

I try my best! :D Met Tom here where I live in Yeovil in '97, when he had his autobiography out. My mate runs the local Waterstones (although it was an Ottakars shop at the time) so we had a ten minute chat with Tom then, mainly about the stuff we got up to at school  A top bloke and I'll never forget it!
