The idea of this forum is to bring pleasure to everybody. We want people to enjoy the forum, so please allow others to be heard. If you post too frequently, in too many different threads, others may feel you’re beginning to dominate. In particular, please do not post more than one contribution in succession. When you’ve made a point, wait for a while to allow someone else to reply.

The purpose of the forum is to share, to get to know one another, to say something interesting: conversation not soliloquy. There is now a limit on the length of a post of 6,000 characters. That is still long, and should allow you to say what you want to say. Try editing your post before going live!

When you prepare your post, consider how easy it will be for others to read. For instance, when quoting from someone else’s post, choose a short quote to sum up the point you want to answer. If you quote the whole of someone else’s post, posts end up being repeated several times over and it is difficult to understand the flow of the topic.
