Wicked covers !

I like the ones that are variations of the same drawing of the evil looking boy and the disheveled pig.
Why does the one have a person instead of a pig ? Obviously I haven't read the book.

the evil little boy (robert caligari) is kicking a bag of pork chops that the poor unfortunate lady is holding.

robert kicked all sorts of "pigs" in the story. guess the dutch thought it would make for a 'moore' dramatic cover.

BTW david roberts illustrations appear all thought the book on the left hand pages and TOM's words are on the right.

my favourite illustration is:

"David the prat babbles to Cassandra."



and would be willing to bet TOM's fave is:

"Thirteen flaming vicars."
