Dear son of Daktari -

Was curious about your post, so I too googled the Reuben song but under Tom's:

"Blood, Bunny, Lark, Hall."
Tom Baker

page 128
Who On Earth Is Tom Baker?

And this is what I have found so far:

In Nothing We Trust is Reuben's third studio album, released on 25 June 2007. It was mastered in February 2007 by Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, Engerica, Helmet) in New York. The album was recorded, produced and mixed at Livingstone Studios in London and Soul Valley Studios in Wimbledon by Sean Genockey (Engerica, Smother). The band uploaded short videos on YouTube for each day in the recording studio. These videos are on the band's DVD, What Happens in Aldershot Stays in Aldershot, and can also be seen on YouTube.

But so far no Tom connection, but feel it is just too much of a coincidence to not be from his book.

Ta, for the heads up.

Best,
Dirk :ugeek:

After weeks of bufferting around in the post, my hardbound copy of Who On Earth...
finally arrived safe and sound in my mailbox.
I had a hardbound copy years ago which was a gift from my mum, which I lost, and then a softcover
which just wasn't getting the job done (I prefer hardbounds) so this is actually the third time I've
owned a copy of this bio. However, I am taking better care of this one lol.

I have both a paperback and a hardback. Very similar story. :-)

Betty,

Really? What if I may ask, is your favorite part of the book?

Difficult to say, but I remember I really enjoyed the story about how Tom met his son years later in NZ. It made me think "What an extraordinary coincidence!" It's things like that that make you wonder about what holds this universe together. I really should re-read it, though. I've seen somewhere that it's also available on audio. An abridged version read by Tom and an unabridged version read by someone else, if my memory serves me right.
