Tom at The Stamp Centre on Sept.23rd

I jump in after a lot of lurking in the backstage of this forum to wish good luck to anyone who will be able to shake Tom's hand next September.
I wish I'd be with you guys, offering a bottle of good Italian wine to Tom on behalf of all his Italian fans!

For fans like me living abroad it's really disheartening to know of such events so little in advance. I live in Italy, as it's difficult for me to leave home on a working day, let alone booking cheap flights and B&B in order to get there in time without spending my last penny!
And I can only imagine how much more difficult it is for someone who lives in the US or farther!

I can fully understand Tom's fears (as he stated in the Question Room): "just the thought of flying anywhere from any airport fills me with dread. Travel is now a nightmare", so I know Tom will never come to Italy anymore.
But for this reason I wish we could have a bit more time to arrange trips and come to UK to meet Tom!

So, guys... enjoy! Enjoy Tom's presence even for us, unlucky fans who cannot be there!

i wont be able to make this one as my sister wont be able to stay with mum while im in london but if tom does a event in october a weekend one then i will be able to as deb will be able to come and stay with our mum then

Well, we will just make Tracy our "honorary" ambassador and she will just have to give hugs to Tom from us.

it will have to be jill aka jaybee who wil be our honery ambasater in september she is over here for 2 weeks so she will have some great pictures to sheare with us when she does return

I admit it, when I booked flights and homestay I didn't know that Tom would be at stamp center signing.

I discovered later that my little trip in London is contemporary with Tom signing

So now In my baggage I added my scarf, my sonic and a little gift my girlfriend made for Tom

I'm wondering if There would be anyone the forum.
This can be a good occasion to meet.
