Dear Tom,
Your portrayal of Rasputin is my favorite on film. I often wondered what a Tom Baker era Doctor Who episode would have been like if you played your own companion as Rasputin through split-screen effects. Of course, Rasputin's party animal ways would have to be toned down for what was primarily a children's show, but I'm convinced your portrayal of him alone would have created brilliant television.
Here’s the question: What historical figure would you choose as the perfect companion for your Doctor?

Interesting proposition. I think the choice is vast but I'd give Jesus a crack if He was up for it. I'd tease Him mercilessly about His famous father and his posh accent. OK? And if he was doubtful, I'd ask him to recommend me to the Devil.
