Hi Tom, there is a sense of the riduculous don't you think in the vision of a Brit posing with ,
'Best Foot Forward'
'Socks Pulled Up'
'A Stiff Upper Lip'
accompanied by 'Keeping His Pecker Up"

Jolly good show,What?
Take care, Luv Jillx

Jill

I've always suspected it was a nanny or a boss or a mother saying these things. They all mean: now don't make a fuss and don't be silly and especially, take my advice and stop thinking.

The last one might be: "And above all, keep your pecker up." This last one would get a gale of laughter in the USA. I often used it in interviews over there and always said with great sincerity and sometimes tears in my left eye.
