Dear Tom,
In your autobiography and Reeltime video "Who On Earth is Tom Baker?" you mention that God gave you two chances, though you don't explicitly state what they were. This has puzzled me for some time and I hope you don't mind me asking you what they were? I think you might have alluded to: (i) recovering the next day from taking the Tofranil tablets and (ii) your successful current marriage, though maybe those two things could be something different entirely?
If you would rather not answer this question and it's too personal, I understand. Then maybe you can share your thoughts of how it is to have been the 'father-figure' to a generation of children around the world? It is touching that so many children in care homes and broken families looked up to your Doctor and he made them feel reassured and safe.
What a wonderful legacy!

I never read my autobiography so the points you raise are a mystery. If ever I do read the book I'll look out for that statement. Perhaps my words were intended to be ironical because God had by then been abandoned.
