I hope the end of summer finds you happy, content, and ready to face the change of season. I write after reading your comments that arthritis bothers you when you walk. Have you considered knee-replacement surgery? I ask because my dear friend Annie had both of her knees replaced some years back. It took some convincing because Annie was 82 and (being Scottish) said it wouldn’t be worth the money as she would not be alive long enough to enjoy the new knees. She changed her mind and received almost immediate relief from her pain, walking with ease three weeks after the surgery. Now she is puttering about happily with her beagle at the age of almost 90.
If you feel acquiring artificial joints is the slippery slope towards becoming a Cyberman, I fully understand. Either way, may the autumn find you enjoying many walks with Poppy.
Your fan,
HL
