Dear Tom,
Over the years I have enjoyed your narratives -- from your reading of Jekyll and Hyde (which terrified me as a child!), to your pronounciation of "Chrestomanci" in 'A Charmed Life'. You are often heard on Australian TV today encouraging children to eat their fibre-enriched bread!
I have always wondered how you prepare for your audiobook readings. Do you read the book beforehand, highlight or underline it, what about deciding on which voice to use for each character?

I read the book and then I mark up the main characters in various colours and then I mark each colour with the name of the voice I think suitable. I only have about five voices all taken from people in my past.
