Crossplot is a movie that starred Roger Moore.

Released in 1969 it was made just after Moore concluded his work as The Saint in Crossplot was made by most of The Saint production team and it is not hard to see why this has been perceived to be like an extended episode of The Saint.

Playing the main female character was the beautiful Claudie Lange (who unfortunately seem to have disappeared some years after Crossplot as there is no information about her after 1973) and I particularly like a certain bath scene that she did here.

Also in the cast were Derek Francis, Bernard Lee (who later appeared with series regular Moore in The Persuaders episode Someone Like Me and became Moore’s boss when Moore became Bond as M was played in the Bond movies by Lee), Francis Matthews, Veronica Carlson, Gabrielle Drake, John Lee, Lois Lane (yes that was really her name), Michael Robbins, Geoffrey Morris and David Browse.

Crossplot has Moore as an ad man who along with one of his models played by Claudie Lange becoming mixed up in the plot to assassinate a visiting dictator.

Crossplot is a fun movie to watch with a lot of comedic elements to it along with the action and it is understandable why Crossplot has been viewed as a dry-run for Moore playing James Bond starting with Live and Let Die in 1973.
