Asking for prayers and good vibrations
Hi All -
It's been a while since I've posted. There's been an awful lot going on, from broken cars to broken cats. The cars are no biggie, either they can be fixed or I walk a lot. But the cats on the other hand...
Remember Larry, my little fellow who had to have a perineal urethrostomy? (I've typed that so much that I will never forget how to spell it.) Now he's developed scar tissue and it blocked him again. He spent this past weekend at the vet. This tiny bit of scar tissue seems to have the entire vet world stymied. Seems there is no alternative but more surgery or "the bad thing I don't want to do." And you all know what I mean. I've had success using homeopathic treatment with another cat (Lisa) who, had I done what the vet suggested, would have been buried over a year now. She sends her regards, by the way. There is a homeopathic treatment for scar tissue, but it will take time to get here, and for it to work. Time Larry may not have.
I am not ashamed to admit to being so hurt and confused by this turn of events. Other than scar tissue that may grow back, Larry is healthy and happy and a bundle of fun! Now it appears that the surgery may have been for nothing - other than to make small loan companies dance a jig. ($1700 for the first go rounds, $600 for this past weekend, and $2300 should I take him to a specialist to do further surgery). At what point do I throw in the towel? He's not in misery - it's not like it's cancer or another formidable foe. It's just a wee bit of scar tissue!
So, as you are each inclined in your own way, would you please say some prayers, light some candles, hold Larry in the light, swing a chicken around your head - whatever belief you follow - and ask for me to have guidance and peace and for Larry to continue to have the longest life possible here.
If you'll excuse me now, I have to go wipe my eyes, blow my nose and scratch up bail money for Larry. (Oh, by the way, I might be out of a job too! Ain't life grand???)
Blessings on all of you. Hope I didn't get too much snot on you!
