Hi everyone

Some of you I remember from the time I spent on tombaker.tv :)

Gosh I wish I'd known about this site earlier.

I stayed up way too late last night reading Tom's answers to the questions that have been asked. I kept my daughter awake too - she ended up appearing and asking what I was chuckling away at. And then she stayed and chuckled along with me.

How marvellous that Tom takes the time to communicate with his fans in this way. I know he's always been considerate of his fans and this medium is so immediate, it's almost as good as being there. :) It helps that his writing is so engaging and even when he's being funny, he's thoughtful too. There are depths that he doesn't seem to make a lot of but they are there. :)

In our spare time we've (son and I) been watching the Doctor Who stories in order, and are currently part way through Seeds Of Doom. Gosh some of those reconstructions have difficult sound tracks. I wonder if there are any better copies - anyone know?

Anyway, great to see you all. :D

Hi Sidoney, great to have you here!

I believe much of Dudley Simpson's work got junked, but Geoffrey Burgon's excellent incidental music from Terror of the Zygons and Seeds of Doom is available on CD - I bought my copy quite recently.

Thanks for the welcome to the dinner table. :)

I was wondering what the dinner table references were and then during a search of Tom's posts I came across the whole glorious and generous concept. He describes it so vividly that I imagine a room with us all around a somewhat battered, but polished and glowing dining table. The light is not bright but we can see each other clearly. There is a dancing quality to the light and it glitters from the glasses and twinkles the plates and cutlery. The conversation has a changing rhythm - sometimes loud, waxing intense, then waning again to become more soft and languid, and punctuated often by laughter.

Yes, I think I'm going to enjoy this dinner table. :D
