Dalek line in Rita

Hi Tom,
Just wondered if when you did Educating Rita (thanks for the reply in Jan by the way) they cut the Dalek line..

Frank: I am not giving tutorials to a Dalek,

Rita: I am not a Dalek.

I'm going to guess they were cut to avoid the unintentional laugh, am I right?

Iknow when Katy Manning played Rita in Australia they left it in...and A lot of fan giggles.

Dear Brian,

I don't recall cutting that line. I would have loved it. Educating Rita was one of the happiest jobs I ever had and Kate Fitzgerald the very best actress I ever worked with. She oozed stardom and compelled affection; the audiences just adored her.
