Contemporary Interpretations of Shakespeare

Dear Mr. Baker,

Recently I viewed some contemporary dramatic interpretations of Shakespeare including "MacBeth" with Sir Patrick Stewart and "Hamlet" with David Tennant.

If you have viewed any "modern" interpretations of any of Shakespeare's plays, what is your impression of presenting his plays in a more contemporary setting?

Sometimes, Marian, the change of setting is an experiment to try and make more sense of old texts. I sometimes wonder if anyone tries to change the settings to the distant past? I still love and read Shakespeare in the very modern setting of my bed. And I find it quite believable.
