What are your special memories of the late great Ian Marter?
" 'Wibbsey' would be a wonderful word for pillow talk, wouldn't it? Especially if you said it softly..."

Oh Marcello,

I can't dash off my memories of Ian Marter. He was the sweetest man who ever drew breath. He was only in Doctor Who because the BBC had anticipated a much older Doctor. So the part of Harry was not good enough for him. He was terrific with the fans. He and I wrote a screenplay called Doctor Who Meets Scratchman.

Ah, well.
