I know it's not to everyone's taste. I don't understand why, but I do understand that it does happen. I was quite unsure whether you'd like it or not, given the reputation you have for being a gin man.

I can't complain about my reputation as a gin man or a Bitter man though never a Sham Pain man. But these stories grew out of references to the Colony Room and The French Pub and The Coach and Horses and the stories around Jeff Bernard. They made people whistle and laugh and, IRONICALLY, I'm the only one left. Zeitgeist has moved on and Falsaffian carousing in Soho is now unfashionable. They were hectic days.
