What exactly are they? Are they like what we call gummy bears or gummy worms here in the U.S.
I used to either buy them or a candy called sugar babies here when I was in high school. I was never positive what a jelly baby was exactly.

Jelly Babies are just that, little baby shaped jellies. It was a silly joke I introduced and somehow it grew popular and stayed with us.
