Firstly, thank you for answering our questions.
A moment in history. Having played Oscar Wilde, so having some insight into his character, do you have an opinion on why Wilde didn't just leave for France when he had the opportunity before his arrest? Do you think he imagined he'd be triumphantly acquitted, for instance, or was he weak and indecisive?

Oscar thought it would be splendid to be a martyr. He had tried being a virgin and didn't like it so he imagined himself a martyr. What a mistake. He dithered in The Cadogan Hotel sipping Hock and Seltzer and with hundreds of pounds in his pocket. And the hours ticked by and when the last boat train had left Victoria Station the magistrate in Great Marlborough Street signed the arrest warrent and in came the police; and thereby hangs a very sad tale.
