Ironing

Postby madgoth on June 7th, 2010, 7:59 pm

Hello Tom,

I have always been amused by your appreciation of ironing. I like to iron too, and I have developed my own way to iron various articles of clothing. When I was a girl, I had the chore of ironing my father's boxer shorts.

But all that aside, I am curious about who taught you and how you might go about it.

I wonder if you would please share your method of ironing a shirt. (I also wondered if you iron sheets and towels, but that is an extra question. :o )

Dear Go....d,

I can now do 12 shirts an hour.
As follows:
Collar and yoke,
Sleeves and cuffs
and the three panels.

I also like elaborate pillow cases and duvet covers. I am very partial to the reassuring smell of Easy Iron and my favourite iron is a Rowenta. I am never far from my Rowenta. I have a picture of her on my mobile and if the train is late I glance at Poppy's picture and the I look at Rowenta and that cheers me up.

Happy ironing!
