Your Poppy

Postby gobs o'cats on April 13th, 2010, 5:39 am

Since I posted the story about my husband's dog, Poppy, I was curious why Tom named his dog "Poppy." Certainly there has to be a better reason than the one we had. LOL

Cheers,

Naming the dog.

I think I liked the two syllables, Pop ee! And I whistle her with two notes. And now the starlings are imitating my whistle and poor Pop ee is a bit confused.

Just re-read your story about naming your puppy. Prince Puppy Poppy. Gosh what a drama. But we do seem to agonise about names, I once knew a girl called Eileen who insisted at junior school on being called Nogs. She had several children and worked in a delicatessen where people flocked to see her slice the ham. Of course Dog might do? Or backwards God? When I was very young, and that was in the last millenium, the woman in the corner shop called me Rover.
