When I first did Doctor Who there was a pretty little yellow car called Bessie, a souvenir of John Pertwee's enthusiasm for cars. Somehow Bessie and I did not become an Item. Difficult to explain because she was very pretty in an old fashioned way; but there you are. Perhaps because I'm not really a car man.
