Old Movies

Hello Tom!

First I must say we have enjoyed you in many different works and thank you for your marvellous entertainment.

My question is this:
I remember you being quoted once expressing some admiration for Alastair Sim (and he is a favourite of mine as well). This got me thinking that you may enjoy old movies as I do, and so I wondered if you could list some of your all-time favourite films and why?

Dear Chas-m in Victoria,

I'm not a movie buff by any means but I do like looking at old musicals. I just adore anything with Fred Austerlitz especially Easter Parade. I also love Gene Kelly pictures. But above all I adore Judy Garland in anything. I also love old friends and old wine and old memories and old jokes. At my age I have become something of an old Joke myself. But I can live with that and most certainly I shall have to die with it.
