Dear Patti Anne

I have never had many ideas, at least not many I could call Good Ideas. And when I set out to do Doctor Who I had no ideas about how to do it and certainly no idea that thirty odd years later people would travel long distances to bring me chocolate and flowers and mince pies and especially jelly babies. Three weeks ago some young people came from Texas to say hello. Of course coming from Texas it was a huge hello and I was deeply touched.
